Grand Bahama Welcomes UPS

Bahamas Courier Limited (BCL), newly appointed agents for United Parcel Services Incoporated (UPS) in The Bahamas, has now fully established itself in Freeport. The company started operations 7 months ago in Nassau.

"UPS was once an ongoing establishment in Freeport which has since closed its doors," Edward Fitzgerald, CEO of the company, said. "I think (it was) mismanagement. We had, sometime ago, sold them our franchise for courier services which was under the name World Bound Couriers which was a profitable entity and we sold it to the last operator of the UPS service. Be-cause the commitment in this regard hadn't been met, we decided to recover the company... and restore the integrity and the reputation that UPS deserves." Fitzgerald stated that this is a "mission" that the new mangement team is committed to.

The BCL team hopes to expand their services throughout the country and enter the trucking industry.

We welcome our new business partner to Grand Bahama.
